Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Rick Byers visiting the team at Bruce Grey Mentorship recently to see how a two-year $55,800 Resilient Communities Fund grant from the Trillium Foundation is being used.

The group’s purpose is to promote friendships and develop strong interpersonal skills through one-on-one mentoring of youth ages 6 to 16 in Bruce and Grey.

The grant funds have helped the organization hire a new Program Coordinator to expand its programs so they can serve more kids in the community.

Program Coordinator at Bruce Grey Mentorship, Greg Dow, says the funding has allowed them to double their efforts to recover from the financial loss they experienced during the pandemic and also expand group programs to prepare additional young people to access their programs.
