Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MP Alex Ruff provided an update to his constituents this afternoon in regards to the proposed new federal electoral map being proposed by Ontario’s Independent Boundaries Commission.

Boundary changes are being proposed to correct wide variations in voter equality that have emerged across the province over the past decade due to population changes.

Ruff advises that the redistribution would see the Municipality of Grey Highlands become a part of what is now Simcoe Grey with a corresponding new name.

The Municipality of Brockton and South Bruce would become part of Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound.

There are upcoming virtual public hearings on Tuesday, September 27th at 6:30 pm and In-Person in London on Monday, October 24th at 6:30 pm.
