Bruce Power award contract for drive mechanisms that will manage reactivity in reactors

Bruce Power has announced that as part of their ongoing investment of their major component replacement they are investing 3 billion dollars over the next 2 to 3 years.

President and CEO Mike Rencheck says around 90 percent of that money is expected to be spent right here in Ontario with 98 percent in Canada.

Bruce Power also announcing that they have awarded a $22 Million contract to BWXT and Candu Energy to build 38 drive mechanisms for reactivity control units.

The mechanisms provided by the consortium play a key role in managing core reactivity in Bruce Power’s operating units.
