The Lamont Sports Park in Port Elgin is receiving a huge donation from Bruce Power.
The fundraising committee announced on Wednesday that Bruce Power has donated $250,000 towards their $1 Million goal for the second phase of the project.
Committee co-chair Mike Myatt says they have been approaching businesses one-on-one and were glad that Bruce Power have stepped up to the plate.
Myatt says they have another announcement of another large donation that will be coming sometime around the end of the month.
The first phase of the park is now complete with four diamonds equipped with lighting that will officially open in 2023.
The second phase will see two more baseball diamonds built and other amenities.
