Bruce Power & Their Supplier Partners announced in recognition of Brain Tumour Awareness Month in May they would both be donating a total of $175,00 to the cause.
Bruce Power’s Supplier Partners donated $75,000 while Bruce Power has committed to match donations up to $100,000 made to the Foundation’s Power of Hope campaign running through the month of May.
Nearly 30 people are diagnosed with a brain tumor every day in Canada, and there are approximately 55,000 currently living with a brain tumor.
Shannon LaHay, Chief Executive Officer of the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada says the donation from both Bruce Power and their Supplier Partners is integral to the foundation’s work.
