More than 300 students were able explore skilled trades careers at the Nuclear Innovation Institute’s Built to Lead event.
Students explored using a CNC router, 3D printing, testing their simulated welding skills and more aimed to inspire young women future careers in the skilled trades.
Jessica Linthrone, NII President and CEO says they are please to help introduce them to careers that offer good pay, creative challenges and the pride of building something real.
The event featured 25 local unions, employers and community training organizations offering students the chance to explore hands on activities, meet women in the trades and learn about pathways to apprenticeship programs.
