It’s Canada Road Safety Week and OPP are reminding drivers to be put a heavy focus on road safety.
OPP say it was a historically tragic year in 2023 with 411 people killed in collisions becoming the first time since 2007 more than 400 people died on the roads.
Road Safety Week which kicked off on Tuesday puts a focus on key areas such as impaired driving, distracted diving, aggressive driving and driving without a seat belt.
During Road Safety Week OPP will be out targeting behaviors which place drivers, passengers and other road users at risk.
