With this week marking Canadian Agricultural Safety Week Grey Bruce Public Health is reminding farmers of the measures needed to ensure a child’s safety while on the farm.
Public health says growing up on a family farm is an incredible experience but given the numerous hazards and risks some precautions should be taken.
Parents are asked to teach all children who live on the farm of age appropriate tasks and to set up boundaries while leading by example with safe practices and building traditions to improve on safety.
These steps can help keep kids safe on the farm and make safety part of your lasting legacy.
