Officials with the Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board and St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine along with Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson were on hand for a ground-breaking ceremony at the school on Monday.

It is to mark the beginning of the construction of an 8-classroom, 4-room child care centre addition at the school.

It will also have an expanded gym, new bus loop and front offices, and interior upgrades to the existing building.

The province is investing $13 Million into the project which is part of the government’s Capital Program to support students with better learning spaces.

The new addition is expected to be completed sometime in late 2023 or early 2024.
