The Municipality of Central Huron BIA is set to celebrate National Accessibility Week on Tuesday with an event in Millenium Park.

They are inviting residents and visitors to come and celebrate the accessibility improvements that have been made and are ongoing to make their downtown more welcoming.

The event starts at 7pm.

The efforts by Angela Smith, Community Improvement Coordinator and others in Central Huron have seen 16 additional stores get auto door openers, stores with a step has a yellow strip on it for visibility as well as a grab bar, chairs added on the sidewalk, and ramps added from the Stopgap Foundation.

National AccessAbility Week runs May 28th to June 3rd.
