Check Your CO Alarms

Grey Highlands Fire is reminding residents its a good time to check your carbon monoxide alarms while also saying this has become a requirement since the start of the year.

Carbon Monoxide Awareness Week continues to November 7th.

Known as the silent killer as you can’t see it, smell it or taste it, a working CO alarm is the only way to know its there.

As of January 1st, if your home has a fuel burning appliance, fireplace or attached garage you need a CO alarm outside every sleeping area and on every storey of your home.

This also is a good time to test your alarms and change the batteries.
