The Clinton Raceway is set to close out its successful season at the track with the upcoming Charity Drivers Challenge on Sunday, September 4th.

The Labour Day event sees the 42nd holding of the event, which has raised over $343,000 for various local charities.

It pits the top four local drivers against four top reinsmen from the nation’s top Woodbine Mohawk Park circuit.

Locally this means drivers Travis Henry, Tyler Moore, Tyler Borth and Jay Harris will face Mohawk’s Jody Jamieson, Doug McNair, Bob McClure and James MacDonald.

All four of those drivers have been voted Canada’s Driver of the Year in the past. MacDonald won it last year.

As the season closes in Clinton, the track is reporting over $70,000 raised already for local groups.
