Goderich is all geared up this weekend for the Coldest Night of the Year walk with the community continuing to remain in the top 30 walks across Canada over the last three years.
All funds raised in Goderich will help support the Huron Homelessness Initiative, a group of programs and services including emergency shelter for women and children escaping intimate partner violence, youth shelter supports and temporary emergency accommodation.
Michelle Millar, United Way Perth Huron, Manager of Community Development for Mid-Huron says the success of the Goderich CNOY event is thanks to dedicated walkers and donours along with a community that continues to prioritize helping vulnerable people.
