A local community group in Saugeen Shores is urging residents to come out and vote on a survey on the possible return of the mini train to North Shore Park.

The group held a meeting on April 30th at the North Shore Park Lions’ Club Pavilion in which Peri Ongarato and the group gave about 80 attendees a chance to ask questions of Scott Pearson, the person behind the proposal.

It not only includes the mini-train, but also several other amenities, including a mini-golf course, winery/ charcuterie area and event space as a way to make the return profitable.

North Shore Park is due for rehabilitation after it being damaged by storms in September of 2021 and December of 2022.
