Grey County council is postponing a decision on municipal road transfers to allow time for more municipal engagement and concerns from the public.
During a meeting on Thursday, council voted to defer a proposed road transfer motion and instead have staff prepare a new report for the Road Exchange Task Force.
The county is currently looking at exploring road exchanges as a long term strategy to improve the regional road network as communities grow and travel patterns change.
This was first identified in the Transportation Master Plan with a task force made to review potential enhancements and provide recommendations to county council.
