An incident with a dog in Saugeen Shores came with a happy ending.
On Sunday, Saugeen Shores Police were called after a dog was seen sitting with a blanket on the side of 33/34 Sideroad.
Officers arrived to find the dog which was not tied up and refused to go into a cruiser to warm up, staying with the blanket outside.
During this time, the owner of the dog arrived saying they were walking their dog when it ran towards an animal.
The owner tried to find their dog but couldn’t and put out a blanket with the dog’s scent hoping it would run its way back.
