Grey Bruce Public Health is looking for the owner of a dog after a biting incident at Southampton Beach on Tuesday.
The health unit says the dog is a white, poodle type and was on a leash walked by a woman with grey hair and a pink shirt.
Public health is looking to confirm the dog is not infectious with rabies.
Police are reminding dog owners to keep their pets off beaches and under control unless there is signage which has dog friendly access.
