Grey Bruce’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says the region is in great shape as more COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted.

In a news release from the Grey Bruce Health Unit, Dr. Ian Arra says all key public health and health system indicators are improving.

That includes the number of new cases in high-risk sectors, hospitalizations, deaths, and outbreaks in congregate settings.

Dr. Arra tells the Shoreline Classics says this is due a collaborative effort by everyone in the community.

Dr. Arra says people should remain vigilant and continue to follow guidelines once the latest measures are eased.

The Province announced on Monday that capacity limits will be lifted in restaurants, gyms, theatres, sporting venues, and other indoor setting where proof of vaccination is required as of 12:01 this Thursday morning.

Limits on social gatherings will increase to 50 for indoor settings and 100 for outdoors.

The vaccine passport program will cease on March the 1st.
