A second special advisor has been appointed to the Chief Medical Officer of Health in respect of the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
Jim Pine, a special advisor last month introduced Dr. Eileen de Villa who was appointed as the second special advisor.
Pine says Dr. de Villa will work with him to help Grey Bruce Public Health emerge stronger and better equipped to serve the community.
During a meeting it was discussed priorities such as strengthening leadership, rebuilding key relationships and ensuring long term stability.
This all comes after the province took over the Board of Health for the Grey Bruce Health Unit which alone came from municipal representatives getting letters from the Chair that they’d no longer be part of the board.
