Emergency alert testing is taking place in Kincardine later this month.
The AlertFM and Kincardine Alert Systems will be tested on July 22nd while siren testing around Bruce Power runs July 23rd.
AlertFM is given to everyone within 10kms of Bruce Power while the Kincardine Alert app is designed to communicate with the public before, during and after an emergency.
Bruce Power sirens will also be tested, with 9 sirens placed around the Bruce Power site in the event of a facility emergency, meant to alert those within a 3 kilometer radius of Bruce Power though it could be heard from much farther away.
