Employment Rises Locally for November

Local employment numbers ticked up once again for November.

The Four County Labour Market Planning Board says there was 4600 jobs added last month with gains in part time offsetting the loss in full time jobs.

The unemployment rate across the Stratford-Bruce Peninsula Economic Region decreased 0.4 percentage points to 3.9 per cent.

This largely beats out of the provincial numbers where the unemployment rate dropped 0.7 percentage points to 7.2 per cent.

Job postings across Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth Counties has exceeded 1400.
