The Town of Goderich Environmental Action Committee continues to try and drive change in the Community even when being unable to hold public environmental events due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Town Staff successfully completed the greenhouse gas inventory as part of the Partners for Climate Protection program.
They are now working towards their second milestone involving a climate action plan and emission reduction targets.
The Environmental Action Committee also worked with the Communities in Bloom Committee to develop a tree planting and maintenance by-law which worked on the selection of native tree species to be planted on municipal properties.
