It was another day in Exeter with a heavy police presence on Friday.

Residents and business owners on John Street and Main Street South saw sections of the road closed to public due to an ongoing police investigation.

Due to the incident, businesses and residents were asked to evacuate to allow police to operate safely with an evacuation centre being established at the South Huron Recreation Centre.

Police have since cleared the area and re-opened the roadways.

Police sent their thanks to the business owners, residents, the South Huron Fire Department and Huron East Fire for their assistance and patience in the matter.
