The Huron County OPP have updated the situation on the house fire in Central Huron on Tuesday afternoon to say that it is under investigation.
Members of the OPP Crime Unit and the Forensic Identification Services are currently assisting the Office of the Fire Marshall with the fire on Huron Road east of Clinton.
First responders were called to the site at 2:41pm on Tuesday to respond to a fire at the two-story property at the site.
A thorough search conducted resulted in human remains being located inside the home. Investigators are working on identifying the victim.
Police say an update will be provided when a positive identity has been made and next-of-kin notification is completed.
The cause of the fire is not suspicious.
