The fire ban has been lifted in Huron County.
The Huron County Fire Chiefs made the call to remove the fire ban as of midnight this morning.
Given the recent string of showers and improved conditions across the county, outdoor burning can now safely resume with permits being issued once again.
Residents are continued to be asked to never leave a fire unattended, keep water or firefighting equipment on site, ensure fires are fully extinguished before leaving and obtain permits where required.
