A frigid start to 2023 raised $10,000 for local groups, as the first ever Huron Polar Plunge was a success.

The event was held at the Goderich beach on New Year’s Day and organized by the local search and rescue.

The event raised funds not only for Huron and Area Search and Rescue efforts, but also for the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth.

January is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month in Canada.

HASAR is asking that participants fill out a brief survey to help them improve the 2024 event. You can find the link to their survey here.
