All is set this Friday for the polar plunge with South Bruce OPP and Special Olympics Ontario.

The Polar Plunge welcomes everyone to take a dip all while raising funds for Special Olympics with a goal to raise $5000 this year.

The jump is taking place at the UBC Local 2222 Union Hall jumping into a roll off waste disposal bin. South Bruce OPP Constable Matt Thorpe says across Ontario the number of polar plunge events has grown.

“We’re up from last year where there’s actually 37 events taking place across Ontario, up from 34 last year. Started in 2013 and this will be Kincardine’s first event.” said Thorpe.

The plunge will take place at 6pm taking on the theme of Kincardine Winter Beach Party.
