The Ford government will table legislation which would temporarily cut gas prices as the current numbers continue to rise.

The legislation which will be introduced later today would cut the gas tax by 5.7 cents per litre and fuel tax by 5.3 cents per litre for six month starting on July 1st.

Premier Doug Ford in 2018 promised to lower gas prices by 10 cents through a tax cut and eliminating the cap and trade system.

As prices continue to rise, many have called on the Premier to fulfill his election promise and offer relief for drivers.
