The Port Elgin Library recently held a thank you tea to say goodbye to the local Friends of the Library group.
The Friends of the Port Elgin Library first formed back in 2006 and have made several meaningful contributions over the last 16 years, organizing author events and book sales, purchasing furniture and fish for the tank, and printing large archival photographs for the Library’s foyer.
“We are sad to see the Friends of the Port Elgin Library come to an end but are thankful for all they have done over the past 16 years,” said Mayor Luke Charbonneau in a release. “Their support and contributions will be remembered and appreciated for many years.”
