Goderich issues Advisory on Coyotes in the Area

Tips for residents include never to feed them, do not approach them, their dens or their young.

The Town of Goderich has issued an advisory on Coyotes in the community.

In it they say Coyotes do not generally pose a danger to people can pose a danger to pets.

They are active during the day and at night, particularly at dusk and dawn, and help control rodent and rabbit populations.

Tips for residents include never to feed them, do not approach them, their dens or their young.

They also say not to touch, to keep dogs on a leash and if you see one do not run but make a noise to scare them away.

They also say to dispose of garbage and waste before leaving parks.

If you see oneĀ  they say to only call 911 if it poses a threat to life.
