The Kinsmen Club of Goderich is calling for applications for student bursaries offered by Kin Canada.
Locally the Goderich club sent off five applications received with two students getting a bursary of $1000 each.
Over the years this has greatly supported students since 1994 over 1500 bursaries of $1000 have been given out.
Past President of the Goderich Kinsmen, Mike Austin says this all got started with the founder of Kin Canada.
“Hal Rogers, he was a huge supporter of education. He belonged to the Forest Hill Board of Education as a volunteer for years. He was the original first recipient of the Lamp of Learning award given to non teachers who have made an outstanding contribution. Education was huge for him for the youth.” said Austin
The deadline to get applications in for the bursary is February 1st.
