A local business in Goderich is seeing a change of hands as one business owner hands it to another but for the McDonalds in Goderich the business is staying in the family.

Rob Reid handed the keys to the business to his son Justin today.

The younger Reid grew up in the business observing his father first hand for over 18 years, and has seen the direct impact of the business firsthand.

Justin is set to continue the Reid Family Tradition of supporting the community with such initiatives as the Coldest Night of the Year, advocating for the Ronald McDonald House Charity and also taking part in the upcoming Ronald McDonald House Charity SWO golf tournament on July 14th.

It has raised over $30,000 since its inception.

Justin’s Father Rob won’t be going too far though as he will continue to manage the remaining 5 restaurants across Huron, Bruce and Perth Counties.
