As work continues for the rebuild of the Goderich Track, the committee behind the project has an application being considered through the Commonwell LEAF Initiative.
As part of the next step in this application, the project needs community support and engagement as the more it receives, the better the chances of getting grant funding.
Committee Member Doug Cruickshank says progress overall on the track rebuild has been solid.
“Pretty much from the first of September we’ve had a good push, kind of revitalized, we had a great meeting with the Avon Maitland District School Board Superintendent. A nice chat with her and dispelled some local myths and stories out there. This fundraising is continuing until the Spring of 2026 ” said Cruickshank.
Those who want to share stories, photos and more are encouraged to do so by November 14th.
