Wildlife Damage Compensation Available in Huron Kinloss

A reminder for livestock owner in Huron-Kinloss they are eligible to compensation if their livestock has been injured or killed by wildlife.

As part of the Ontario Wildlife Damage Compensation Program.

Those who lose livestock are asked to notify the township within 48 hours of discovering the loss, preserve the site and evidence such as the carcass and animal tracks.

A municipal livestock evaluator will then visit your property, usually within 72 hours to complete the inspection who will then submit a report to the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.
