Grey Bruce OPP located and arrested two motorists for impaired driving on Sunday after getting some help from the public.

At approximately 1:30 a.m. that morning, police responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Harbour Road in Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation. When officers arrived on scene, they discovered the vehicle had since left.

Officers located the driver a short time later and detected signs of impairment, placing the 43 year-old man from Dutton-Dunwich under arrest.

Later that day, around 6:30 p.m., police responded to multiple traffic complaints of an erratic driver on Highway 10 in the Township of Chatsworth. Officers located the motor vehicle, and the driver, a 30-year-old woman from Burlington, was placed under arrest after officers detected signs of impairment.

Both accused individuals were released and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound at a later date.
