Grey Bruce OPP marked Veterans Day on Monday welcoming 45 veterans and their families for a bbq lunch at the Wiarton detachment.
OPP veterans play an important role in the development of the service and Grey Bruce OPP say it was great to catch up and see what retirement has been looking like for everyone as they look forward to another similar event next year.
After retirement OPP uniform and civilian veterans still remain a part of the OPP family with a list of special events and organizations such as the OPP Veterans Association.
Retired Special Constables and Retired Auxiliary members are also considered veterans.
