The Grey Bruce OPP were kept busy recently when they responded to 26 collisions over a 29-hour period between October 31 and November 1.

Police said half of the incidents occurred in a 16 hour period beginning at just after 6 a.m. on Halloween morning and the remaining were in a less than six hour period yesterday morning.

One was due to a deer and half were road or weather related.
Police said many of the collisions between two vehicles were not driving according to road conditions as a main possible cause.

The OPP offers tips to drivers including having winter tires installed, planning ahead and checking
the weather, properly cleaning snow and ice from your windows, mirrors and roof and steering gently on curves and slippery conditions.

They say if you see snow, go slow.
