Grey County Council has committed $1 million dollars over 5 years to support the Grey Bruce Health Services Mental Health Wellness & Recovery Centre in Owen Sound.
Council approved the motion at its meeting on Thursday, July 27th.
They directed staff to provide the first payment for this year.
Grey Bruce Health Services made the request to council back in April.
The total cost to build the centre is estimated at $25 million dollars. Grey Bruce Health Services & the Province committed $10 million towards the project.
The community fundraising target for the facility is $15 million.
