Group aiming to save Balls Bridge & Little Lakes Road holding Fundraiser Thursday

Event on Sept. 21st at the Huron County Museum begins at 7:15 pm and includes food & refreshments as well as renowned environmentalists and experts offering presentations to summarize the situation.

The Save Historic Ball’s Bridge & Little Lakes Road Community Group is preparing to hold a fundraiser all in efforts to defend the area from a proposed gravel pit.

The efforts are ahead of a hearing by the Ontario Land Tribunal against gravel mining company Lobo/Van Bee Sand & Gravel.

The fundraiser on Thursday at the Huron County Museum begins at 7:15 pm and includes food & refreshments from the Maitland Market, White Carnation, Meeting Place & Firmly Rooted Organic Farms and more until 7:45.

There will then be entertainment including the debut launch of the song “The Hope”.

There will also be renowned environmentalists and experts offering presentations to summarize the situation.
