The Hanover Chamber of Commerce shared word of a scam that is circulating between area businesses and organizations.
The Chamber says they never have a subject line with just their name.
The scam is thought to have come from scammers harvesting the online business listings.
They say to always check the sender’s email address prior to opening a message.
The message circulated is to have come from a person named Chris Jones.
