Hanover council has opted to not go forward with the East End Trail Development Project.
During a meeting this week council heard from a delegation around concerns on the project and after reviewing staff updates and available options it was decided staff will not proceed with any trail construction in the wetland area which borders two residential subdivisions.
Next steps with this decision will include a report looking at additional sidewalk installation to support the trail network.
Staff will also look at a potential parking lot in the Saugeen Cedar Heights West Subdivision.
