With multiple police forces adopting the CAMSafe program, allowing citizens and businesses to register their security cameras to assist police, Hanover has come out on top for the program across Southwestern Ontario.
The Town of Hanover has recorded the highest number of registered cameras with CAMSafe across the southwestern region.
The extra tool for police can prove useful in helping locate a missing person, identify suspects and witnesses in unsolved cases and locate stolen property.
Hanover Police Chief Chris Knoll is still encouraging more to register for the program to assist police in solving local crimes.
