The Huron Residential Hospice is set to recognize hiking leader June Robinson at their much-anticipated Hike for Huron Hospice coming up on May 28th.
June passed away in late 2022 and the board, staff and volunteers unanimously agreed to recognize her impact by renaming the event.
Christopher Walker, Manager of Fund Development of the Hospice describes the kind of legacy June left in terms of the Hospice.
“June has always been our top hike fundraiser. To remember June, for the importance she placed on the hike to bring her family together, and the fact she was always the top fundraiser. It was a simple way of saying Thank You and remembering her.”
The Hike for Huron Hospice is Sunday, May 28th from 10:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Stanley Community Centre in Varna.
There is a BBQ by Shanahan’s of Goderich at 11:30.
