It was another successful year for Hoops for Hope with more teams competing in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament for a great cause.

Founded by Olivia Rourke, a student who passed away in a car accident last year, the tournament helps raise money for the foundation built in her honour which supports youth led community projects, support the advancement of women in sports and for cancer care and research.

Hoops for Hope, held on April 23rd brought in around $12,000 for the foundation.

Rourkes parents, Jen and Dan say while her life was far too short, the impact she made on those around her was extraordinary and the foundation exists to keep Olivia’s legacy alive by supporting students and causes that reflect the opportunities, values and passions which helped shape the remarkable person she became.
