Clerk for the Township of Howick, Carol Watson will officially retire on Tuesday, Nov. 15.
Watson has served in the role for over eight years, and has been involved in politics dating back to 1986. She started in Egremont Township which in 2000 amalgamated with Proton and Dundalk to from the Township of Southgate.
Watson says she plans to spend time with her entire family, travel and renovate their farmhouse.
The Howick town office will be open on Wednesday Nov. 23 for a drop in open house to honour Carol Watson’s retirement.
