Howick Township man charged with impaired after traffic stop Sept. 23rd

Police said the man was travelling on Gough Road in Howick Township and was stopped to make sure he was sober.

A 60 year-old Howick Township man is scheduled to make an appearance in Goderich court today after he was charged with impaired driving on September 23.

Huron County OPP said the man was charged following a traffic stop.

Police said the man was travelling on Gough Road in Howick Township and was stopped to make sure he was sober.

Police said they determined the man was drinking alcohol and an ensuing breath sample resulted in a failure, as did further breath tests at the OPP detachment in Clinton.

The vehicle the man was driving was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accussed’s drivers license was suspended for 90 days.
