With school season back upon us many parents have concerns in the back of their mind with their children under the age of 12 heading into the classroom unvaccinated.

Medical Officer of Health for Huron Perth Dr. Miriam Klassen says that while trials are underway it can still take time before a Covid-19 vaccine becomes approved for those 11 years and younger.

She does say that when that approval comes that public health will be ready quickly.

As of September 7th just under 75 percent of those 12 and over are fully vaccinated in Huron Perth.
