After almost 3 years of contract talks, CUPE Local 1331 representing employees with Huron-Perth Public Health is entering a second meeting with the employer next week.

Public health employees represented by CUPE have been without a contract since December 31st 2020 with bargaining with the employer starting in the spring of 2021 with little progress being made.

Should no deal be reached its expected job action will be taken by the 70 HPPH employees which includes admin assistants, custodians, dental assistants, dental hygienists, IT support and public health inspectors.

According the union in September, 93 per cent of members voted in favour of a strike.
