Huron and Bruce County’s will benefit from $20,279,307 in funding from the provincial government to address local infrastructure, create jobs and bring in economic growth.

The funding as part of the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund will be dished out to 14 municipalities across Huron and Bruce and address infrastructure needs across the area.

For 2024 the Ontario government has set aside $400 million in the OCIF fund to support 425 rural, small and northern communities.

In a release Kinga Surma, Minister of Infrastructure says these communities need stable funding for their unique infrastructure needs to provide safe and reliable services.

Funding breakdowns are determined on different needs and economic conditions of each community.
