Huron County council has approved its Economic Development Strategic Plan, a five year framework for the county’s economic development work.

The plan also includes a 10 year vision for growth, investment, workforce development, business support, destination development and collaboration across the economic development system.

For the Huron Chamber of Commerce, this plan provides important context for work with members, municipalities and county staff.

Colin Carmichael, Executive Director of the Chamber says the plan doesn’t set the Chamber’s agenda but it does help define the broader environment in which they are working.
